Meet Bisbee’s New Tourism Marketing Advisory Committee
Congratulations to the seven individuals slated to serve on Bisbee’s newly formed Tourism Marketing Advisory Committee! These appointments will be considered for approval at tonight’s City Council meeting. Pending approval, we’re especially excited to congratulate our own Sarah Prochnau, who is slated to serve on the committee. This committee will work alongside Gordley Group, the marketing agency selected by the City, to advise on tourism marketing and attracting overnight visitors.
We’re excited to see this committee get to work and look forward to the ideas and perspectives its members will bring to the table.
We are, however, disappointed that Sarah is the only lodging operator represented on the committee, and that so few members come directly from Bisbee’s business community. Lodging and tourism businesses have firsthand knowledge of the visitors we’re working to attract, and we believe that perspective is valuable—not just to the lodging industry, but to the restaurants, retailers, galleries, tour operators and other businesses that benefit from overnight tourism.
